Looking at photos and seeing a guitar"in the flesh" is quite different; always beyond expectations...

Ah, I didn't mean those... It is described though as Freddy Tavares "Aloha" Strat. #001
Shown at NAMM 1994...unquote"

So it was one week ago; it was a hard one, notwithstanding all the daily hints, tips and clues I gave (you can check that all the info provided was correct)
Anyway thanks everybody for your participation; actual photos to be released next Monday
Have a Great Week End (me, I'll be eating my nails... :? )

Better than the nails, a 2005 Bordeaux to help the weekend pass, maybe!

Freddy's nephew has posted on the Forums in the past, searching for information about him. I have no doubt he would find interest in this acquisition which hope will give you great joy. It certainly is unique among the genre. Personally, my vote still goes to the Russian with respect to the guitars you've been so good enough to share with us.

Yes, I was guessing it was this one. It was a one-off NAMM 1994 from John English. It's mostly blue and was recently on the market and was sold! (There were about 150 of the silvery ones.)

Huummm, a near miss....
Not that one, but what you say is correct.

This is NOT the Aloha 001 presented at the 1994 NAMM; this is a second one, "reversely" different.

Very nice! a worthy addition to your fab collection. I have often wondered how the aluminum body strats sound in comparison to the variety of wood ones, how about your impressions Alain. This is not your first aluminum one is it,how many do you now possess if I may ask. Thanks again for sharing your new CS guitars with us it is thrilling to speculate what Alain is up to next, collection wise.Cheers Craig
