All owners of the Fender Custom Shop "Custom Deluxe" guitars, check in here and post pix of your new (2009!) "Custom Deluxe". I'll start with my two tone beauty!

My local shop, BAM, has a couple of other "custom" colors as well, but I'm looking for a matching Telecaster in the near future.

i notice that the pickguard is aligned perfectly with the base of the neck!
there is no visible access to the truss rod seen!

So, is there access to the truss rod in the usual place @ the base of the neck UNDER the pickgaurd, or did they put it up top with your custom specs!

The answer would be appreciated, but its just out of curiosity.
My SRV artist has a notch in the pickgaurd for easier access.

The truss rod has an adjustment hole at the headstock end of the neck, but it does appear to be a bit smaller then on some of the otehr MIA strats.

I wish I could offer more info, but I'd rather not disassemble it right now :)

I had to do it!, I had my local dealer put me down for a Telecaster Custom Deluxe! I've been digging my strat CD so much, I feel it needs a partner! The only caveat is that something from the closet probably needs to go, to make room :(

Accoridng to Mike, the Custom Deluxe series will no longer be produced after this year ( http://www.fender.com/community/forums/ ... sc&start=0 )

So please post pix if you have them!
