Yesterday I received my Clapton Custom Shop Mercedes Blue Strat. Now I no longer have to stand with my face pressed against the glass looking in. I'm part of the Fender family.

Played her a bit. Love that neck. Now all I have to do is explain to my wife why I needed a new guitar after buying one about 5 months ago.

I've seen some of your collection. If anyone can hit the limit it will be you.

Congratulations, it sounds like a sweet axe. I have been a Gibson devotee for many years and still like them BUT NOTHING sounds as good to my ears as a Fender guitar played thru a Fender tube amp!

Regards,

Joe

As for the collection limit ... I have a deal with my girlfriend ... when I hit the number of pairs shoes she has, I stop. This roughly speaking means I can buy out the current stock at Corona and still have some leverage to get a few models of that "other" name guitar company associated with the late and great Les Paul. (Maybe an Ibanez or two tossed into the mix, a retro Danelectro ... add to my collection of basses. :)

(Truth is, my GF only has a few pairs of shoes; I have a lot more guitars. But you can't play shoes and all my guitars sound different. I just absolutely need them all, yep, no question about it.)
