I know about the base models I have the form but I was wondering if it's possible to choose a base model that is not on the list like this one. I wanted this but customized. http://www.fender.com/products//search. ... 0144602380

Well would it be the same price cause that Strat was $690 but I want it customized. I have the CS form so do I fill that out or how will I get the one that's built with those specs. I also know that it will be more will the customs.

No, it would be built from scratch to your specific specs ( the guitar pictured) in the CS.

ok so would I put that under additional notes for the form for base model. I looked on the form for one of the base models and it was $3000 just the base model I'm looking basically a price range 1500 maximum if possible because I'm trying to find a some Marshall stuff that was discontinued about 10 years ago. So basically money is a key factor.

Marshall 9200 power amp
Marshall JMP - 1
Marshall JFX - 1

going through a 1960B 4*12 cabinets.

So I can't afford a 3000 or close to that for a guitar. I'm only a teenager so I'm not made of money.

First off, welcome to the Forum. I trust you will find us an extremely diversified, talented and highly informed world-wide group with a fierce loyalty to this company.

In the matter of your post: Now you know the reason for the Custom Shop's "When You're Ready"

Your specs would likely demand a Masterbuilt instrument and I would put what you have here at $5000 conservatively and possibly higher judging from a similar post many months ago. That guitar was quoted at $8K.

(FYI, the Gilmour Relic, released last September, came in at nearly $5K Custom Shop built (formerly termed Teambuilt). The NOS version is $3999.)

Masterbuilt, which is the work of one luthier as opposed to several, is a higher ticket and a more individualized, personal contract.

Doc

<:O I can't afford that. Aww so I guess my dream guitar is down the tubes. :(
I was hoping that the base model that I chose up in my first post would make it affordable for me around $1500 but I guess only rich people get the good stuff in life.

Also thanks for the welcome.

You're a teenager with $1500 to spend on a guitar...

Why don't you get the Dave Murry Sig or a Charvel? Pretty close to what you're looking for.

Well the thing is I want to buy my Strat and call it my own that it was mine not some signature one from an artist even though Dave is a huge inspiration to me. Do you get what I mean? But was that other guy right that it would cost over 3000 for all that.

Yep. You could get that guitar, change some of the routing and wiring and have something very close. A good repair person can get you there for less dough. You can refinish the neck, and not have to worry about the decal, etc.

Ok thanks one question though so if I ordered just the Standard Strat from Fender could you guys do that stuff like colour of the guitar Olympic White, stick the dave murray neck on that guitar, and the stuff I said above. Also what is the difference between Comfort Contoured Alder Body and an Alder body? Thanks for helping me I really appreciate it!

We don't "modify" production guitars so you would have to get it refinished. The Comfort Contoured body should be a Strat with the arm and belly contours.
