The back of my bridge is raised slightly on my CUSTOM SHOP. The explaination I got was that its raised to give the guitar more sustain and it stays in tune better. :? :o :? : Do you all agree with that explanation? THANKS :D

well, with the responses you put out, it is no surprise they treat you like that. Alain is one of THE MOST RESPECTED COLLECTORS ON EARTH.

to answer your question, you should insert all 5 springs and lock the trem down. THAT will increase the sustain. what it is in right now sounds like just a normal floating trem setup.

why did I even bother reading this if you won't be back  your whining fits of rage will become the stuff of legend, I have a feeling...

No! your bridge should be adjusted to be neutral 'middle' (so you can yank on those strings). In my expieriance this is done to avoid fret buzzing, due to the avoidance of actually setting up of your guit box prior to purchase . Take it to another shop (especially if you purchased it there) to adjust your neck, this will allow you the lowest action and of course the yanking of the strings ala Jimi.

As you mentioned the Korean Squier before I supposed it was your dreamguitar :D

BTW the internet etiquette supposes that writing in capitals is rather impolite ( like shouting) but maybe that's your usual way to express yourself

The back of the bridge should be raised 1/8 in. if setup to float as described in the Fender Setup Instructions here: http://www.fender.com/support/stratocaster.php

Alain can you imagine the gormless kids suprise when he does see your collection.

BTW nice session award amp. I'd never seen that before. A very fine amp that has never sold like it should have. Dubbed the british Mesa Boogie by many afficiando's.

I know allsorts about trems but refuse to aid the antagonistic halfwit OP. Its far too much fun winding him up.

Koocho lets see some pictures of these guitars eh?
