I just received mine as I was one of the very firsts to order one.
This guitar is simply stunning !
I never had a so versatile Tele.
Not only to have a Seymour Duncan '59 humbucker as a neck pick up, but to have a phase/out of phase switch brings a lot of possibilities.
On top of that there is another switch to turn on the on-board preamp letting you control the overdrive with the third knob.
You can nail any sound you wish from crystal clear out of phase to soaring overdriven humbucker
Accoustically it sings , something to do with the brass bridge pieces.
Dennis Galuszka masterbuilt mine and as he did the prototype he knew his job for sure.
Again a great guitar from the CS, delivered with extra goodies, something usual now with the Tribute Guitars.

Alain, again your collecting habits are amazing!

Nice purchase and an interesting description of the control options the guitar has.

Do you know which guitar Andy based his original one on? Was it a 62 double bound or a partscaster that he built up to his specifications?

Andy just bought it like that in '62, a regular Fender'61 Custom tele with heavy mods. the only thing he replaced was the tuners for Schaller ones.

Very polyvalent thanks to the pre-amp which boosts the mids and brings fuzz if needed.
The soft brass bridge and saddles plus the bridge pick up directly fixed onto the body give a very ringing sound with a lot of harmonics different from any other Tele.
The neck is the pure sheer player of the '60 Custom Tele.

As you asked only about the sound, I won't discuss on the relicing here... :(

Very nice indeed, Alain - and it's good to see you! Hope all is well, and one of these days I'll be over there to see you.

Enjoy the guitar!
