The Custom Shop has a really cool ad out for that guitar. If you haven’t seen it, it’s the one where the guitar is leaned up next to a couple of bikes which are being built. On the rear of the first bike they’ve written “La guitarra es fuente y mala”; what does mean? And does La Cabronita translate to anything, or is it a model name? This has been bugging me, every time I flip through the magazine.

Just bought a Gretsch with those Power’Tron pickups in it, they’re some wild animals run through a Super Reverb! After working for almost six months to get the tone SRV had on Riviera Paradise, I plug in the new guitar and without turning a knob it’s there.

I’m still working on the settings for the Marshall though…close but not quite there, yet. I’m hoping I can dial it in for a sound similar to Clapton’s Sea of Joy tone.

My spanish is long ago and far away (and border spanish to boot). Fuente has a number of meanings - the only one that seems applicable here is "source" or "origin".

Maybe it could be read as "the guitar is basic and mean"?

Little Goat is more litteral. Little Nympho or Little Adultress is a bit closer in meaning. There's not really a one to one relationship.

In English, when you're going to meet someone they'll respond with, "I'll keep and eye out for you", for instance. In Mexican Spanish, they would respond something like, "I'll be standing in the middle of the road".

BTW
It's a fantastic guitar.
When I plug it into the Fender '57 Champ, people think I'm entertaining Keith Richards in my summer house

But I'll be waiting for him although I already own one of those great bad guitars.

A great sounding guitar, very light and resonnant; the TV Jones Plus delivers what you expect and the Greasebucket is quite efficient.
I'll use it for my last gig in a fortnight.

Soon I'll improve photo technique
