Hi,

Just picked up a new CS Blackie in nitro from Dave's Guitars in WI for 2k even. I wanted to share this since i thought the price was great as I have been searching the web for a while (plus a dinged up 2005 CS Clapton just sold on ebay for 1,925)

anyway, they have 3 left in poly and 1 more in nitro each for the 2k level

peace

Hi Andrew,

I also think that Dave'sGuitar does some excellent bargains, and he is a gentleman to deal with as well.

However I dont think that it is wise to give details of the prices we pay as it can sometines get the dealer into het water with Fender, then we will have killed the goose that lays the golden eggs!

Anyone agree??

[quote="caleb"][quote="lanea"]Hi,

A prudent suggestion unless pricing is already a matter of public record.
Recommendations of availability are certainly an advantage here.

Called Dave last week, they still had 2 left ordered prior to Fender's price goug... sorry I mean 'increase' that occured in Februrary, hence the great deal on these.
My guess is new orders will be in the $2300 range, which is still great, that's assuming the same great MSRP discount from Dave but accounting for Fender's actual price increase to retailers (10-15%).

Hi drx. Yep I ordered an 09 Clapton CS from Dave. First time dealing with him. His email responses were immediate, and was very pleasant when I finally spoke to him. After a barrage of email questions. Oh and his pricing is VERY competitive. Thanks Dave. Now I sit and wait by the front door for my package.

Now we have the news that the EC Gray will be available in limited quantities after the new year. That may be the way you want to go.
