Hey everyone

I was wondering whether it is possible to order a custom bass from the UK? As all of the dealers listed in the "Dealer Finder" section are in the US/Canada.

Is there no way to order one online or via post?

Thanks for any help in advance

Where in the uk are you?
You need to go to a customshop stocking shop and order through them.

I'm in Warrington, between Manchester and Liverpool in the North-West

Any idea where the nearest one would be?

Harker and Howerth in Bolton was a excellent shop and a extensive fender stockist. I bought my vintage hotrod from there (and made a 326 mile round trip to get it). Received excellent helpfull service and am sure they will contact the customshop on your behalf.

Dawsons may also be able to help you. Their in warrington.

Of those i'd pick Harker and Howerth. Their service really was excellent. Top class, faultless. Even made me a cup of tea.

Thanks a lot for that! I will definitely check Dawsons, they are really helpful in there so I will ask.

How much is it to have a custom guitar made? I don't suppose you know?
I'm thinking of inquiring about a left handed Mark Hoppus bass...

roughly £3500+.
Make sure you get exactly what you want. Its quite a wait for it to be built too (1year+) Its a once in a lifetime experience from what i can gather.

In that case, I think I will just get a Precision to my specs rather than just a left handed model of an existing one. Because if I paid that much then it came out in a left handed model I would be pretty annoyed.

Can you choose pretty much everything to have put on it?

You can but the price is not fixed. Some things send the price up a bit, some send it up a lot. If money is no object pick your builder and go with your hearts desire. If you go wild on the spec expect well in excess of £7K. You'd be better off posing some of these questions to Mike Eldred.
