On a serious note. That guitar is an absolute galaxy away from my purchasing power. I'm not at all fussed or jealous, i dont think anyone has the right to feel that way about a guitar or two  . Infact im quite happy that someone i interact with, albeit a minor amount on a internet forum has such nice guitars as you. Your a hell of a collector mate, its a priveledge to see so much classy gear in one place.

I agree. I probably would never even see a picture of some of this stuff if it weren't for alain.

Many collectors are very, very shy on showing their treasure.
I, just want to show what the CS. is capable of.

It's not all in a collection; but it's a large part.
I mean for me
They produce great guitars

Alain
PS ME I'm now retired and I'm not looking for another job ; but everything is negociable

Ah now thats something i think about a lot. If i had a God like collection of guitars would i want to post detailed pictures of them on some internet forum. Just for some snot nosed thief to copy and use to rip someone off?
Or bring joy to the common man?

Lot's of luck, Mike. This guy could give you a run for your money far more serious than Guitar Center did with the Clapton. Seems he's willing to negotiate. Might be worth exploring to see where he might fit into the next 5 year plan. A decent way to roll one's hobby into a new venture.

[quote="alainlafrance"]It was a hard work and money was not sufficient.

Nicely done, Alain. The tale of how that deal went down must be fascinating.

On the guitar....the curiosity among several of us surrounds those pickups.
Are they sensor technology or conventional design? And something about the tone if you don't mind. The standard issue on that MIA Deluxe which gave rise to the YS's was the introduction of the SCN's.

To give an insight into the truely horrible nature of russian guitars produced under comunist rule, something i had experience with when i was younger. I found this webpage.
http://www.cheesyguitars.com/guitars.html

Theres a good bit of interesting reading on these pages. Including the instruction book and the timeless quote 'dont plug your guitar into the mains'.
Truley it shows Mr Shishkov to be the master that he is. Imagine the level of genius he must possess to create such masterpieces of his pre-America days.

Hi doc

They are non sensor technology; hand wound (Abigail Ybarra was on vacation at that time) under Yuriy Shiskov's design.Their nickname is "Ivan The Terrible"
They sound, I would say different from the "regular" Strat sound you are accustomed with.
With all those S-1 possibilities you can get a lot of those '70's out of phase sounds with the switch down; but when it's up and when you crank your amp then they deserve their nickname.
Very hot like the flamed color of the body.
Quite amazing as ME said

Alain,
I'm coming to France in September...with some Fender wine.
We need to hang out and look at (of course play) some of your guitars!
