Hey Mike: Did Fender checkout the Spanish language etymology prior to naming that guitar La Cabronita :?: :?:

The variations in the use of the word 'cabron' from country to country are legion, and most of them not very complimentary

Check out "The Urban Dictionary"

I'm sorry, what exactly does it mean?

I think the basic question is- Was the intended translation of the name "La Cabronita" translate to "The Little Goat" or something more along the lines of "The Little B@$+ard"?

I find the latter more fitting.

We did have several NOS at the store and will for the remainder of the tour.

Brings up the question of the chicken or the egg. Is Fender pushing relics because "the people want Relics" - or do people seem to want relics because Fender is pushing them?

I think it is the latter, personally.

That is your choice what to believe. It makes no sense though. NOS, Closet Classic (which we've taken away, because there were few orders for it), and Relic finishes don't do us any good to "push" either way. Interesting observation though.

Well, $1000 for a MIM (Road Worn) seems to be a price point that works in Fender's favor. Just a random neuron firing from a perpetual cynic....

Interesting observation....goes to the heart of another thread I found myself up to my neck in with a motorboat running around me making waves.

"Fitty" years ago, when one was on stage, the look was showered, pressed, and perfect. So were the Fender guitars. My own counsel I will keep to some the current preferences but I will go so far as to say that, from an esthetic point of view, I certainly prefer the look of that new LE Clapton Gray to the Blackie 'Tribute' Strat, notwithstanding the fact that those guitars were a remarkable effort on the part of the guys in the CS. i take nothing from the project whatsoever.

Which is also why I own the Gilmour NOS as opposed to the Relic. I didn't need to be that close to the truth.(another remarkablely accurate result.)

To pick up on Mike's comments above:

"you can please some of the people some of the time, you can please some of the people all of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time."

Doc.

They would be bored of seen always the same stuff. Human being is such as to never be fully satisfied with what he actually owns.
So it is Fender's purpose to always propose something new (winter collection then summer collection as ME says) to trigger always a new interest in their customers so they'll never get bored looking at the Fender site and here as a scouting site for what's in the pipe ( save for those double secret stuffs)

Was just a bit of bored wordplay. if people are pleased, by definition they wouldn't be bored.

Personally i am a big fan of variety.

Sorry to be pain in the @r$e.
