How does one go about getting a silver or gold level certification to be a Fender guitar repair tech? Does fender sponsor any training program or do you just have to find a luthier school somewhere and go through them?
Thanks

Excellent question. I would think a good luthier school would be a good place to start.

I want info about it too.

I'm a Guitar Tech from Bogotá, Colombia and here there's not any like a service center for Fender so I'm trying to stablish one for all fender users here in my country.

I have a friend who is a Gold level certified Fender guitar Technician. They don't use the term Luthier. He said the application would ask what type of equipment you have, and how much experience you have. Also you have to be employed by a fender dealer or be set up as an independent tech.

As far as I know, s Luthier is a craftsman who's able to build a superior quality stringed instrument such a cello, violin, almost every kind of acoustic guitar, mandolin etc from scratch. They basically work on acoustic instruments. I guess that's where you are headed then. Best of luck.
