Hi there! Newbie from England here...

I've just bought a second hand 1955 relic Strat, masterbuilt in 2005 by John Cruz, and I wonder if anyone knows where I can get more info on my new baby?

It's a gorgeous guitar, sunburst with maple one-piece fingerboard and neck. It has a light relic finish to the body, hardware and fingerboard. It has a black case, with Custom Shop Limited Edition embroidered in.

It came with a certificate, but I'd love to know more detail about it. I've scoured the web for info, but found nothing specific, except for a similar guitar that was one of 100.

It plays beautifully! It joins a modest Strat collection of a 1991 Ultra in grey sunburst, and a 2008 Eric Johnson sig in black.

Thanks in anticipation,

Robert.

Email Fender customer service. They are usually pretty helpful on things like that.

Tried sending them Fender customer services an email, got no reply...

Any other ideas? I'd love to know the exact specs. Don't custom shop keep records that owners can access?

When did you email? it normally takes 24 hours for a response. Failing that ask Mike on his forum, unless you already tried that?

I emailed Fender in March, probably safe to assume they won't reply!

Good idea about Mike Eldred... does he reply?

He should reply, give it a go. Failing that email Fender UK, they are very good.

I've posted in Mike's section, so we'll see... 8)

Failing that, I'll try Fender UK.

If I were you, I'd call the US customer service line... explain your problem, and they'll assign a rep to help you. I was emailed very shortly regarding an issue I had with one of my masterbuilts, and they seriously found me a new part, and got it out to me in less than 2 days, no questions asked.

I'm sure that if you find the right person in Customer Service, they'll be able to help you out.
