I would like to appologize to anyone who took offense to the posting of my last thread. (especially ex-bankers from France) This post is only the 3rd since being a member and I admit it was in error. I just thought this forum would be a great place to bring attention to a FINE CS Showmaster to the very people who might appreciate it. I REALLY didn't think about it much until I got negative results. :? I immediately emailed & asked the webmaster to delete the thread, and Mr Traweek was very nice and did so promptly. Sorry to everyone. Thanks for the heartfelt reply from Gratz, but I guess people living in France do not realize the state of our economy over here, and also sorry about the distrust in the world today, even among fellow musicians and guitar players. And most of all I'm sorry to have to sell the guitar at all. No need to post to this thread, it's just an apology as I now know I screwed up and will not try and 'hawk my stuff' here ever again...aside from that it's the last guitar I have to 'hawk' as i just sold my '65 strat for a song, (so to speak) parted out my '59 last year, sold my '66 Mustang, my Gibson Explorer Pro, my EJ Strat, and my Showmaster is the last I will sell unless we're absolutely in (pardon the pun) DIRE STRAIGHTS!! It's a very special guitar to me as it was built in honor and rememberance of my Mom. NOT AT ALL looking for sympathy here, just telling it like it is. It's been a tough winter but if she sells, even though 'Fenderless', I'll still have my '79 LP Goldtop that I bought new in '79 and my 1965 Gibson B-25 acoustic bought for me by my Mom in 1969 that I'll NEVER sell. Times are tough in the good ol' USA and I'm just trying to stay afloat and keep the wolves from the door until my HVAC-R business picks up in the spring.. Sincerely sorry, Doc

Nothing was personal against you but just imagineif this Forum would allow advertising for Ebay items.. I do buy on Ebay, I do sell on Ebay.
You are very familiar with Ebay so I won't carry on.
I was just employed by International Banking Institutions before being retired, not owning any Bank
You know that the massive economic crisis in the USA has instantly spreaded over all of the world . So billions of people are also facing this crisis.

But I do hope you'll get your head out of the water
Alain

Thanks for the welcome! Ya know, I thought about it but I can work a guitar alot better than I can work one of these computers and I can't figure out how to post pics...Alain sure has some nice ones posted...how do ya do that? And I did read about posting but obviously don't get it. (My head being underwater and all) I have a small sony digital is all and I know how to load 'em on craigslist and ebay. But sure, I've got three left that are worth lookin' at!! Including 'Nadine' which didn't sell...(but that's a soap opera I definitely don't wanna continue here). If I can figure it out I'll post my Goldtop and my trusty OLD beat up Gibson B-25. OOPS! What am I saying...I guess it wouldn't be too cool to post Gibson pics on the official & only Fender Custom Shop site ( the goldtop is unique only because Mr. Eric Johnson graciously signed the back of the headstock for me..otherwise, it's just an old Goldtop) I still have pics of my Oly Wht '65 Strat but it's sold so doesn't really count :( Anyway, thanks again for the welcome and any advice on pics would be welcome.

I think I may have blundered as well by showing a pic of a Strat someone was trying to sell. My intention was the pic, not the sale, but looking back I think it fell under "what not to do".......time for rules refresher!

Thanks for killing it Brad, won't happen again!

Hey Doc,
Sorry to hear about your troubles, I hope things pick up soon. As for posting pix, go to photobucket and open an account. Upload your pix there, and simply link them to this thread. Good luck for the future.

This is totally not a big deal -- as I mentioned to you via e-mail, the only reason for sale ads are strictly not permitted here is because it can put us in an awkward spot with our dealer network. (i.e., "How come you're allowing folks to sell their used instruments on your site as opposed to sending them to US?") In the future we may figure out some way to have a classifieds section at some point and keep it fair to all, but until then we're not allowing for-sale or trade ads. Anyway, not a big deal and I hope you'll continue to participate here!
