thanks for sharing photos of that amazing guitar ,how does it sound Alain, do you play it through a vintage Fender amp.Very nice 3 burst and wood selection IMHO.everybody have a great day

Well I use it quite often as I'm a great fan of The Shadows.
I use the '56 CS Strat for the Early Years with 13-56 strings and that one for the early '60s with 10-46 strings
For the later tunes I use a CS '65 rosewood fingerboard with the same string gauge.
Well someone asked Hank Marvin (The Shadows lead Guitar): "Why to do use several guitars (40) ? and he just replied : Because I can afford it ..
Nothing to show off but a certain reality...

Gratz, As I said I'm a fan of The Shadows so my main amp is a JMI AC-15, a superb replica of the mythic VOX AC-15 of 1960

I do have other amps but that's the one I use daily.
On stage I use another amp, solid state, of a lesser value.

Speaking of amps and GAS, I feel the need to announce I just bought a 5F1 repro through eBay and waiting for it is killing me. Typing this made me feel somewhat better now...

You mean thsi is a recent photo of the former one you showed ?
Anyway the creamy colour reached by ( some) white guitars is always an enjoyable pleasure

Yes, I recognize where he had a sticker of some sort under the bridge.

When I saw the date on the first picture I had to take out the case and take a picture. It is a little bit "reliced" from playing it.

I would think more like Dick Dale signed your Strat.

Nope he did not build my Stratocaster  I saw him live at a club about 11 years ago. After the show he said "I am going to sit here at the edge of the stage and sign anything you got." That's when I ran to my car and brought my Strat for him to sign. He took it and said "You know you got a thousand dollar guitar." I said "Nope, it is just a Japanese Strat." He smiled and said "With my signature it is." He is a great guy and a fantastic guitar player. I am a fan for life. :)

ah so the 3 colour sunburst was available in the 50's. I stand corrected.

Amazing guitar in amazing condition. note the control cavity coverplate. Theres something you dont see much.

Tremendous read. Merci Alain
Niki, Fender introduced red into the burst in '58 to brighten up the colours.
