OK your maintenance should be the same as a regular guitar but because of the humidity in Malaysia you will need to treat the fretboard and exposed wood areas of the body a little more regularly.A notable forum user swears by gerlitz guitar honey for his fretboard. I think that would be your best bet too. Though instead of treating the fretboard every 6 months as recommended id treat it every two months. Your guitar should be wiped clean every time you finish playing, some dunlop65 guitar cleaner should help with that too.
Although the RG model is a distressed guitar please treat the body too. I visited Kualar Lumpur some years back and thought i was drowning when i got off the plane. That kind of humidity could i suspect penetrate the wood exposed area's of the guitar body too.

Hey, thx for the reply ninja....yea,Indonesia (where im from),Malaysia n these parts are quite crazy...one moment ur walking under hot sun and damp weather another then the next moment in an air conditioned room n it just makes me paranoid...any ideas how to handle that?
Ok so im supposed to wipe it EVERYTIME i play?i have dunlop01 fingerboard cleaner, Dr.Stringfellow lemon oil, and Dunlop65 guitar polish n cleaner...are those ok for the type of material RG has? Do i clean with them after everytime i play or once a month or so? Ive heard different opinions so id like to clarify with you...
Thx for the advise :)

If you just wipe over the guitar with a clean dry cloth that wont leave bits of fluff all over the strings, everytime you finish playing it.

Every 1 or 2 months clean the guitar completley. Clean the fretboard with dunlop65 cleaner. I use it, its perfectly safe. Then rub some of the stringfellows lem oil into the fretboard (i use that too), follow the instructions on the back of the bottle.
Now heres something i do at this point that i havent heard of anyone else doing.
Get some GHS fastfret and rub it over the fretboard, dont use it on the strings. It leaves a thin waxy layer that i suspect helps keep the lem oil in the wood. I dont use it on strings at all, i dont like the way it alters their tone or feel.

I would also treat the worn to the wood areas with lem oil and fastfret too. I'd be very carefull taking the guitar from hot hot hot heat into a cool airconditioned room too. Not because of laquer checking, it just wont do the wood much good if you do it too much.

...u mean its ok to just wipe it with dry cloth or u'd prefer not to? Yea, i agree with u, the GHS fast fret changes the brightness of my strings in a way that makes me paranoid asking myself 'is it time to change the string? but its not rusty yet' ...
U said clean the fretboard with the dunlop 65?did u mean the 01?cos the 65 is for the body right? 01 is the fret conditioner...would u prefer the dunlop 65 or the lemon oil for the back of the neck which is sanded down with the wood grain showing? sorry mate, the RG has bits and pieces of different surfaces of wood that its gettin me confused...thx :)

Yeah just wipe the guitar down with a dry cloth when you finish playing it.

I'd clean all of the guitar with dunlop65 neck, fretboard and body. I'd try to use lem-oil on all the exposed wood parts of the guitar, maple will probably not draw much of it in. Still whilst your looking after the fretboard it wont hurt to do it. Aircon units suck moisture out of the air, take the guitar outside and the air is full of moisture. I'd be doing all i could to ensure every part of that guitar that has exposed wood got some form of treatment. You may do well to research how local classical string players maintain their instruments.
