i had bought a CS 66' strat recently and already had some CS 69' pu's i tried in several strats but i don't know the 65' ones that were sold in the CS65 strat .

i read somewhere that the CS65' and CS66' had the same pu's but i read the contrary somewhere else !

also, i wonder if they have not been made differently as someone wrote about teh CS65' pu's that they had copper color wire whereas the 66' have dark purple insulation wire.

i measured my CS 66' and they were both 5,64 K in the neck and middle and 5,33 K in the bridge !
i reversed the neck and bridge !
the CS 60' are given for 6k but i haven't measured some myself.
i told about my experience in the topic: differences between CS 60 and CS66' .

did someone try the CS' 66 , CS65' and CS 69' in the same guitar ?

do you have the specifications (at least ohm meter readings and type of wire insulation ) for the CS 65' ?

i read somewhere someone measured some CS 65' that were copper color and it was 4,43K bridge , 6,07K middle and 6,23K neck but i would like confirmation as i thought they were the same as the cs 66' ones (knowing the resitance seems to change from a pickup to another ) .

did all these pu's changes in their specs since they were released ?

what do you mean ?

cool down what ?

i'm just asking some infos and giving some when i can , i don't know who it could bother ? LOL
if people are not interested in what i write or don't have some infos to give, they are not obliged to read me !
isn't it a forum to share experience, thougths and infos about Fender products ?

by the way, i just saw you have 39 fender custom shop guitars, so instead of telling me to cool down for a reason i have not understood yet (LOL) , couldn't you help me in my research for infos about those pu's ?

i suppose you can easily tell me about that with 39 Fender custom shop guitars , can't you Mr Al !? LOL

thanks in advance for your help.

OK Sorry
It was a joke, but it didn't reach its goal.
Back to the '65 Strat pick ups, they are:

light grey bobbin Custom Shop Fat '50s (neck & middle-reverse wound-)
light gray bobbin flat pole-piece Texas Special (bridge)

PS I'm talking about the Mark Kendricks Limited Edition '65 Strat

two frenchies joking in English...mmm LOL
limited edition !
when was this one built ?

cause the custom shop 65' i talk about was the time machine one and i thought it was enamel winding but a guy tested some and made a review on his web page writing : " 65 utilizes plain copper wire like the early '60s pickup but it is slightly larger diameter, with several hundred less turns of wire."
so it would be some 43 not 42 !
on his pictures the winding seems to copper color so it could be formvar but there is some enamel wire insulation of the same color ...
also, i don't see why they would have used 43 Formvar wire in a CS 65' time machine whereas they switched to enamel in 1964/ 65.
i would suppose they would have used the same pu's as the CS66' for the 65' as i read somwhere but it 's also possible they released the first CS 65' time machine strats with different pu's at the beginning.
