Anybody have or play one of these yet. Not the 57 that comes with the amp. I'm talking about the one that comes with the 69's, fat 50's, tex spec pup configuration. I cant find one anywhere to demo.

Yes, I owned a Violin Burst one.

I think it's one of the best CS strats there are
I actually preferred the 62 Heavy Relic cuz of the neck size

Super Smooth neck, but a little meaty at the 12th
Was probably more like a 56 boat neck, which seemed
odd, cuz at the NAMM show, the 57 seemed more like
a pencil neck

great guitar

the pickup selection wasn't my favorite, but tend
to rotate pickups in and out anyway

either way you will not be dissappointed

Hi

I'm curious why the pick ups are not your "favorite" I thought that combo would be a great match.

I was thinking of putting that combo in my Strat Pro to replace my SCN pickups.

Regards.

It's a different match

I actually like when all the pickups are the same
I play in positon 2&4 alot ( neck/mid , and mid/bridge)

I have some Fralins spec'd at all wound 6k
RW/RP is optional

Custom Shop 60's are my favorite Fender pups, ymmv

it's all preferance

I have a '56 and a '58 which are quite different, so that's fine for me for that short period

You have great expectations of him, Hoppie. It's certainly easy to understand why.

Rien d'extraordinaire , there are really wealthy collectors in Europe with unlimited purchasing power. Agreed they don't show here...
I just buy mostly for my pleasure and just want to share such pleasure.
N'est ce pas ?
Stock Exchange was awful today so it's good to enjoy playing a DG Strat just for a break...

Speaking of the DG Alain , have you had any problems with the intonation? I've heard some talk about that but I have had no problems! :?

I knew there was a 'ce' in there somewhere. I haven't explored my French in better that forty years and, as with other things falling into disuse, it fails to rise to the occasion. I use Spanish daily in my professional activities without fail.

I'll be interested in your response to Hoppie's query.

Doc
