ok, my new baby arrived today. After reading and hearing so much about this guitar, I had to get one too. I have seen R.Gallagher a couple of times and I sure wanted to test his sig. model sometime. But the time never seem to get there to do so.

But I did manage to get myself a great x-mas gift today, and my wife did agreed that I should get me another great baby. I'm stunned that this guitar live up to what everybody are saying about this amazing strat.

I love it, the tone are breathtaking and this x-mas will be focused mostly on playing on this new baby :)

Happy holiday to all :)

Welcome to the forums, congratulations, and Merry Christmas.

I had the great fortune to see the late great Mr. Gallagher a couple of times myself, so I know first hand what beautiful music that guitar is capable of. But it is a little hard to believe just looking at it - Lord it is beat up...

Enjoy, my friend!

Thank you, It's so great to see how they have made the guitar so close to it's original. The details are right on the spot. The only thing that is not 100% the same as the org, is the wood stripes/grain. This will be another in my #1 collection, my #1 collection is the guitars I use most of the time.

Thanks for the welcome Troublecall....

Welcome and congrats for this fine guitar

Impossible to have the same wood stripes/grain as there are no two similar pieces of wood even when bookmatched...

I know :) I don't know for sure who at CS make those models, but the detailed work is amazing.

Is it team built or Master built? What does the COA say?

Its says: "This Instrument has been custom built by Fenders' finest craftsmen to bring you years of playing enjoyment.

Signed by Alex Nicholas dir CS.

So I guess it's a TB then. Isn't every Rory model TB? or are some MB?

I didn't check the COA first he he. I'm just blended with the details on it :)
I was also looking at the versions with the flame necks, but I ended up with a std neck, since Rory didn't have a flame neck on his :)

Thanks gratz, merry christams to you too and your family.

Maybe later, I get my other Fender CS ladies in here. But since Rory amazed me so big, I had to join this forum.

Peace...

Now that goes right against all my previous rules. I never understood the relic thing but I have to say that looks amazing. Maybe because it appears to be wood with some paint rather a scratched up paint finish.

Now tell me how does it sound.

I saw Rory live a few times, man he could play his Strat and a bit more. Fine looking Strat my friend, I bet she sounds just as good as she looks. Welcome to the forum :D
