Thanks for reading my post - Looking to purchase the Custom Shop Strat Pro - built in early 2006 - black w/rosewood - used, but hardly played.....

A little different that the new ones - no "skunk" stripe on the neck & sperzel tuners on mine.....other than that - it looks like the new ones??

At any rate, not much info on this 2006 model... This would be something that would not be gigged with - just a "bedroom" player... maybe some home studio work....

Maybe if someone has one / played one - they can give me a quick opinion...OR on why the 2006 model is a tad different than the new ones / hopefully, they are just as good!

THANKS

Hi

I have a 2006 Pro White with a maple neck. The only difference between the 2006 & newer is the Skunk stripe and the 2006 has 21 frets, the newer ones have 22 frets. I have Sperzel tuners and so does the new ones.

It is a awesome guitar! It is one of best priced Custom Shops out there, a lot of Guitar for the money.

Did you see the Video about the Pro model on the Custom shop website?

Regards.

Several threads on that one also...including some discussion within the past 24 hours on the Lounge.
