Well, I finally got her, and all I can say is, they both are absolute dreams. If I don't ever get another guitar, that will be just fine because these two are more than I ever could have hoped for. :D

The neck has some nice figured woodgrain on it, extremely eye-catching! :P

Thanks to the Eldred mod this Tele can deliver that half-cocked wah sound Mike is famous for.

Hey Chrome. No it's a 2014 FCS 60th Anniversary 1954 Heavy Relic Stratocaster.

Only one. I've seen a bunch I wish I could have scooped up. I'm unfortunately having to move my Custom Shop 55 Precision on, though. I just can't bond with the soft-V profile on the neck. I will miss the hell out of her. She sounds and plays so beautifully. However, by the time I finish a set my forearm and hand feel almost crippled. So my American Vintage 57 Reissue has retained it's number 1 status. (and very well deserved) However, I am definitely going to be replacing my 55 with another Custom Shop bass. Likely a transitional 57 custom made for me. For years I doubted if the cost difference between the American Vintage and Custom Shop models were worth it. While I can say that my 57 Reissue is a beautiful perfectly made representation of it's namesake. My 55 is like being able to buy that "Holy Grail" version of that model year. Can't wait to get my next Custom Shop bass.

MB Stephen Stern Clapton Strat, MB Todd Krause 56' Relic (Big V, 50s pickup and routes shielded, Vintage Frets).

They'll keep me quite happy and busy for a long time.

This EC Custom Blackie doesn't sport the TBX circuit and the artist's personal signature on the head since it's a Masterbuilt guitar. You've a nice pair to cover the entire Clapton electric stuff.

The MBSS EC Strat has a really good neck; fretwork, smoothness, shape. It was a 2008 model and Todd set it up back in 2011 when he was in Singapore. Just that the electronics and pickups are not too special as you can get the same thing from the American series. However, somehow the American EC start that I tried didn't sound as good. Just because of 'tone wood'? Not the traditional sound of a vintage strat though. Noiseless is just easier to make recordings with, especially nowadays they are all highish definition audio capable. Not that we are sound engineer that will alter the recording with much post processing.

The MBTK 56' wise, the relic is just the best that I have seen. Different style of vintage fretwork, just as good as the MBSS. A more traditional sounded set of pickups, excellent clean tone. It's like it is definitely vintage sounding but not trying too hard, just nice. As compared to the MBSS EC strat, the neck is really much thicker but somehow not more difficult to play on my hands. The spec is very much like a black brownie, going to lock down the tremolo with 5 springs.

With this 2 as reference, I probably want to make my own spec for the next MB, and wait for it.
