Hello everybody. i just created my profile and opened a new topic (kinda selfish maybe :D ). I am glad to be a part of your community and i hope that the help i got from reading your posts before will be even bigger now, and of course if i can help somehow i certainly will. Now let me express my concerns and ask for any possible help. I have ordered my DG NOS and i am probably going to get it at about 4 days. My problem is that i am a bit scared about the maple fretboard. Bright sound is not my favourite and since i have not tried the guitar i fell a little anxious about it. I know this may sound as a blasphemy ( and probably is). Anyway, can anyone of you who already has bought the guitar please let me know how bright it sounds?? My bass-middle tone preference will be dissapointed by the "brilliance" of the maple fretboard?? Any answer will be much appreciated ( it will actually help me sleep tonight :D ). Oh, and in case it is important my amp is a fender blues deluxe reissue (your community helped me decide and finally buy this amp and i'm glad i did).

The tonal difference of a maple board over a rosewood one, isnt anything that cant be sorted out with your amps eq.

[quote="panagiotis1987"]: Well, you've just come in at the end of a long road with a world full of expectant parents who have spent the better part of the past 12 months waiting for a baby to arrive.

The previous respondent members of this forum who have given you high fives over this guitar have pedigrees the likes of which you will learn more about as you continue to hang out with us.

As far is this old man is concerned, if you are not absolutely knocked out cold by this NOS of yours you needed to do some serious searching before you put up the coins.

If alain loves it, then you couldn't ask for a better endorsement. Wail until you see HIS Fender line  :!:

Keep us posted :!:

The guitar is extremely versatile, you can have it has bright or has heavy as you want.

I have 2 rosewood neck guitars and this is my 1st maple.
Wouldnt swap it for anything.

Turn on and tone up my friend and join the DG strat fan club !!!!

Mines a NOS by the way

Still waiting and i am starting to feel angry a bit. I e-mailed fender and they answered me that the problem is their huge waiting list about this particular instrument. I appreciate this but they did not give me an answer about when will this bloody thing actually arrive in greece. Anyway. Patience is probably the solution here.
