Gee.....I can't possibly figure out why they would extend YOU that courtesy :!: :!: :P When you've done that, send lots of pictures. Especially one of the manager kissing your ring.

im very lucky geographic wise ,400 miles from corona and 90 from scottsdale, the point of my earlier thread was that including the guitar given at F.U. the discounts recieved on the "wish list"mine was the DG,Strmmer tele,Tony Franklin sig bass,Buddy Guy sig strat, and some squires, more than paid for the trip, anything in the catalog was available.the people at fender are some of the nicest ive ever met,i highly recommend a visit in any capacity if possible also the fender museum in fullerton and the fender center,

Yep :!: :!: I had expectations for next summer until the economy tanked.
Kinda tough with other priorities to sink 6g's into a solo project after that Gilmour came home. Would be interesting for Fender to think about a way to keep spouses occupied while participants are involved. THAT might be an interesting perk. Kind of like what professional conferences do.

Maybe 2011, too :P

Caleb,

Just one thing..
Don't tell me your case came with "Pink Floyd London" written on it

Alain

No such luck I am afraid Alain!

My dad got some stencils cut and sprayed the case to replicate one of the cases shown in the back pages of the "black Strat"book.

He has also aged the case locks in the same way.

It looks pretty effective and I think ic compliments the relic look of the guitar.

A NOS would lbetter suit a pristine looking case, but the relic job on my case suits the relic guitar finish.

Nothing like a little creative arististic license...It certainly looked authentic!

However...I digress to the original posting...

I compared the bridge/blocks of both my Gilmour and Clapton this morning. They are both tapped at the same angle for the trem handle. Thus the only differentiation in the question is DG's mod of the trem handle's length and I do not have a standard handle for comparison.

Thus it remains a puzzlement as to what actually planted these seeds of doubt as to the veracity of the guitar in question. :?

Perhaps one of you out there could send comparison photos, at a distance, viewed from the side, the handle facing forward
