Be very careful about treading on Malmsteen. I'm a big Malmsteen fan. The scalloped neck is the best neck available in my opinion. Traditional Strat necks are too damn hard to bend notes on.

The Malmsteen signature guitar is great. Don't know if a personalized tribute guitar was needed though.

Nothing's necessary in life apart what's needed for surviving.

All the rest is superfluous.

The three pick ups are disconnected from the tone circuit.
So they are very clear and powerful.

Hi Gratz ,
I can't tell but it seemed there was a rush on them as not all of the Fender CS Dealers had ordered one.
So I bought mine from a UK Dealer, one out of two.
I was somewhat afraid of the scalloped neck, but after playing it appears to be a plus.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the guitar . It was the railroad size fretts that I wondered about, do they add to the sensitivity ,speed or tone ,would you say they are nessesary for the scalloped frettboard. Thanks for any and all input.

They just add to the scalloped neck, making the variations higher.
So they add to the speed (which is not my specialty at my age) but the neck is quite playable after a short period; but not the best for rythm guitar of course.
But the scalloping is less than I could imagine before.
You can make tremolo effects with your fingers without using the tremolo arm
I like it; which was not obvious when I got it. I mean playingwise because the overall look is fantastic.

You know, Jimi's black beauty hasnt been done. And they've got to market his white one one day... for the hell of it.

Yeah I saw that before, but only three were made... and there's so many Jimi fans... When I said market it, I meant to sell like Yngwie's series, or at least like Clapton's blackie.

It would be profitable, and it would satisfy the millions of hungry Hendrix fans. Plus, I wouldn't even have to swap the strap button from the lower end!

I prefer the black one though. Its sound is more soulful to me. And it looks better.

By the way Mike, since you probably saw the White One, do you think the neck was swapped once before?

Because I saw him in one concert using a telecaster's neck on that strat on the second Newport concert and I wonder.
