Hi Alain:

I'm reading through this thread and trying to make some sense of your commentary. Do I understand you correctly that this is NOT a "Tribute" Series guitar in the sense that we know it? :?

Doc

Jayenyen,

I think it's one of the so-called MOTO "MOther of TOiletseat" family...

Hi Doc,

You read me correctly; it's not part of the family of the "Tribute" Series guitars, thus of a much lesser interest, if any...

Alain

Roger that. By the way...if you can find a moment to send me the 'around the neck' measurement of your Krause "three-off" EC guitar...2nd and 12th fret, would be appreciated. Tape placed against the fret. Metric is fine.

Thanks.

Doc

Hi Doc,

Here are some fresh news:

Approximately : 1st fret : 104 mm (41mm width)
12th fret : 127mm
The diameter at the first fret might be affected by the sharp V profile of the neck

Cheers
Alain

Thanks: I want to compare this to my new '89.
Doc.

I'm getting 105 at the first, and 123 at the 12th..starting from the line angle where the upper shoulder meets the fingerboard, around the back of the neck, across the board to the line angle, with the tape against the edge of the fret closer to the headstock.

Update: I remeasured the 12th fret this morning on the '89 and read 126mm. The CS reads 132mm. I attribute the difference to the rosewood fret board and the medium-jumbo frets on the CS. So we are likely 'neck and neck' on the '89.

Thanks.

We are not currently working on a Hank Marvin replica. The guitar is question is a Dealer Select run and is spec'd out by the dealer, not the CS. It has no affiliation with Mr. Marvin.

Harken!! Some keen insight into how things work on a starship...from the ship's master, himself.

Caveat emptor prevails.

THAT....would be no less than fantastic, Mike

Think of all the ink we could have saved having had your input on just that one little issue about the tone control on the Custom Shop Clapton
