Hi Folks,

I just purchased a 1 year old Strat Pro CC and I really like it.
Mine has cracks all over it but no chips, the metal parts are all kinda tarnished.

What do you guys recommend for a home & maybe a small gig Amp
I want to try a get a SRV sound (with out the telephone line sized strings & the Fred Flinstone fingers) :)

Thanks.

I have the white with maple neck and absolutely love it. I dig the contoured heal and the big headstock. I play the thing so much it's not even funny. It stays in tune killer and that satin neck in my hands is like buttah. I dig it so much that I can't wait to try the CS Tele Pro. There is a silver Strat pro on ebay right now. It has an awesome figured neck. The link is at the bottom. The cost is around 2400. but I've seen others both white and black for around 1600. to 1700. In fact a friend of mine is going to list his Vintage burst with rosewood fret board as he is a Gibson man at heart.

Hi

My Strat Pro is white with a Maple neck Too. How do you like the pick ups?

I have heard people don't like the SCN pick ups, I was thinking of putting in some Custom shop Texas specials.

Any thought or recommendations ?

Thanks :)

I'm keeping the SCN's they're pretty versatile for what I play. I play styles from jazz to some metal and either through my JVM or my princeton they have yet to let me down. Texas specials are killer as well, if you play a lot of blues/southern rock Texas specials are great for that tone.

If you do get those Texas specials let me know what you think. Your Strat is identical to mine, I see you also have a Seagull acoustic. I have a Seagull acoustic w/ a cut away and I dig it. Our tastes sound similar I look forward to more of your posts and opinions on things. :D

Hi

What model Seagull do you have, I want to upgrade to a better model.
I am thinking a "Grand" or "Artist"
They are great sounding guitars for the price!

I think the Strat Pro is one of the best value Custom shop Guitars too a lot of guitar for the cash 8)

I will let you know what happens on my pups.

Regards.

I have an artist model, the back, sides and neck are maple, spruce top with rosewood fretboard. I've had it for 9 years and has been a damn solid guitar. :D
