Hi All,

This week I've ordered a Limited Roasted Pine Double Esquire® Relic®, I'm really looking forward to receiving the guitar which I'm told will take six months to arrive.

In the specs on the custom shop website it says I'll get a strap and a COA. For the money I'm spending this seems a bit miserly so I'm wondering if that's all I'll get or will they throw some other case candy in there for good measure. So I'd like to know what others have received with their own CS guitars, feel free to mention stuff even if you don't think I'll get it with mine.

When I bought my new 1960 Closet Classic Strat (built in 2013, purchased in 2016) the case candy included the COA, an ashtray bridge cover, a retro-style strap, a cloth-insulated instrument cable, several picks in a small satchel with traditional Fender logo, a polishing cloth, the customary allen wrench for the bridge, and a really cool tool set designed by John Cruz. There were also some hang tag materials and a Fender bumper sticker.

Yep agreed.
You may not get the tools and or the ashtray cover but I would expect the rest. :D

Ya, the tool kit is available for sale, but I don't think it is included anymore.
Ashtray cover should be included, but may only be included on period-correct models, i.e. your CS model features a 2-post bridge, I would not expect it.

I have four and the only thing I've ever taken any notice of is a hand-written note from the builder of one (Gene Baker)

I'd better go check what else is in there
