I agree with what you're saying fhopkins, what annoys me is the guys in my guitar place. When I handed over my cash, they assured me I would get it end of September at the latest. Now they don't seem so keen to talk to me, I'm just going to leave it until I hear from them. I'll think twice about doing business with them again, this is in no way any reflection on Fender as a company.

That's a shame, I would not do any more dealings with them either. The shop I ordered from are always glad to here from me and even send emails every once in a while. They have a bad attitude towards someone who is spending almost 5,000.00 with them. I'd talk to owner if you have not already. Good luck my friend! :?

I spent closer to $7000.00 when I was last in there, I bought a Tele Deluxe the same day I ordered my DG Strat. I've left two messages for the owner to call me, I doubt very much if he's going to return my calls. Like I say, I doubt if I'll do business with them again. Thanks for your message fhopkins, hopefully someday I'll find a dealer as good as yours. All the best, good luck.

Yeah Paul thanks! I'd love to have that amp too. I sold my 65 TR so I need time to find something else. I've also been looking at the Fender 57 Twin Tweed RI. I saw Clapton uses a stack of 2 or more when he played at The Albert Hall Cream concert. I'll do some researching. later my friend!

Hi guys.
I called the shop i ordered my DG Strat from today.
I was given quite a bit of info.
They told me Fender was currently veryfying the guitars and shipment is expected very soom, in fact they were confident of getting their stock next week. They said they were with Fender custom shop yesterday and have a meeting with them wednesday 24th Sept. they promised to call me the following day with an update but they are certain their release date is 2nd Sept but I couldnt get the info if this was release from fender or when they would receive them.
They told me limited numbers are on 1st shipment and when you will get yours is dependent on where and when your shop placed orders.
I have been assured mine is included in 1st shipment.
snowy, thanks for the reply about forum T shirt but I couldn find anything about get them in England. How did you get yours

Leave a message for Brad on the contest thread, he'll take care of it. And keep us updated on your DG order, if you don't mind.

The stack that Cl;apton used at the Albert hall reunion was specially built at the custom shop and hand wired.

I doubt that the one you will get from a reguar Fender shop will sond the same.

I doubt they will be the same to but the ones I've been looking at are all hand wired and have dual rectifiers. I'll have to plug my guitar in one when I get it. Thanks!

Hey if it's hand wired then you are almost there.

I found a big difference between the hand wired and "ROBOT"wired amps.

Good Luck.

I'm pretty sure even the first run will be several weeks behind. Like i said though, I'm willing to wait and get a quality guitar rather than one that was rushed to be on time!! 8)
And I definitely want Abigail to take her time!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
