Thanks Rudager, I had a look at the link you provided. No information on the actual release, but I did learn that Wildwood has the first 100 signed books ( on both the NOS and Relic models) I doubt if I'm going to get one here in the UK. Stilll..... I'm looking forward to the guitar itself

Are you going to get yours on the 22nd Gratz? My place, still don't have a definate date when they will actually have them. I do know they have seven ordered, mine being one of them. I'm just wondering how much longer we in the UK, will have to wait.

It's a pretty cool strap, glad you found the link useful. Enjoy AZ, I hope you stick a few pictures on here.

I'm calling my local dealer in the morning to ask about when it will get here. This is such a small area that I'm sure I'm the only one to place my order almost 2 months ago. I'll be looking at that strap too. I want to be there to cut open the cardboard box! I'm sure (hoping) that a custom shop guitar will need no pro setup when it gets here!!! Good luck guys! 8) :)

Hi fhopkins,
I think I will go into my place on Saturday, just in case they've heard something from fender. I've never been this wound up abut a new guitar before  I'm like a kid on xmas eve, I hope you get to open the box! Enjoy it.
The strap is pretty cool, I should get mine next week. I got the e-mail to say it's on it's way. Good luck.

It took me a weekend and about five hours of actual work to make my Gilmour strap (see photo).

Image

It was actually quite easy.

The satisfaction I got was worth more than the money I saved from Jerri Designs.

Total cost was about 300 Rands (Cape Town, South Adfrica) that's about 35 US$.

By the way - according to the blurb on the Fender site the first 500 guitars will come with the Blalck Strat book signed by Phil Taylor and also the Gdansk DVD and CD set.

I have my fingers crossed that I am one of the first 500! !

I talked to my supplier today and he called Fender for me to ask when to expect dilivery. Good news and not so good. Seems The Custom Shop is running behind schedule and he got the standard " In about 30 days or less". Kind of expected that but they said mine was in the very first batch being made! Hum? I guess it will get here when it does,so don't expect to walk into your shop and pick up your order on the 22 of this month. Just thought I'd pass along what I heard today. Good Luck and keep us informed guys! 8)

I called my place today fhopkins, the guy I spoke to reckons I will have to wait another month or so. I'm just going to have to try and put it to the back of my mind, easier said than done (as I'm sure you're aware). If I get any news here, I'll be sure to post it here.

That's in U.K. or USA? Oh well look at it this way. I'd rather them take thier time a build a great guitar rather than rush through orders just to get them out as soon as possible!!

I agree with what you're saying fhopkins, what annoys me is the guys in my guitar place. When I handed over my cash, they assured me I would get it end of September at the latest. Now they don't seem so keen to talk to me, I'm just going to leave it until I hear from them. I'll think twice about doing business with them again, this is in no way any reflection on Fender as a company.
