Snowy, now that's the kind of thing that worries me! It still has to be done someday. Unfortunately the only tech that I trust in my area is on tour with a well know (not mentioned here) band. I'll wait!

I hear ya Hop  I've actually got pretty friendly with the tech dude in the place here. I've watched him at work too, he treats every single guitar with respect. The guy is a genuine lover of guitars, it's plain to see. I'm far happier dealing with him than the dude I used to use, he was hash bash with everything he touched.

If you find a good tech like that, that loves guitars , then hold on to him. I know a lot of our members do their own setup but with this particular guitar I'm having a pro handle the job!

I'm actually hoping he might agree to let me sit in on the set up, I hinted at it when I last spoke to him. He seemed cool with the idea, I told him I'd be his gofer for the day  And who know's, I might just learn a thing or two (not that I'd trust myself to do a set up), I'll let you know when I'm arranging it.

After spending so many hours in my tech's workshop, now I'm doing the setups by myself, save for a few very exclusive guitars of which I have even not seen the inside (Playboy, Jaguar, Harley etc...) nor my tech.
I do that very carefully, in the morning when I'm relaxed and sober
You can't imagine the stupid things I've done to some guitars, years ago when these conditions were far from being fulfilled

So you have a tale or two Alain? I'm hoping for the same outcome eventually, if I spend enough time observing the guitar tech here. For now, I'll let the pro deal with my guitars.

Well I'm glad that mystery is solved Snowy! Did you get a look at Gratz (our professional player) running through all of his riffs in that picture? Good vibes to both of you fellows and your wife Gratz! Greetings from the Bayou!! 8)

Here's why. The March Guitar World is reportedly to feature the Gilmour project on the CD-rom they've been including with their publication

Here's why. What turned up in one of our threads was the info that the March Guitar World is reportedly to feature the Gilmour project on the CD-rom they've been including with their publication

Hop, I saw the pix yes, I believe Gratz is the dude with the red hat on. It looks like a lot of fun, man what I wouldn't give to attend Fender Uni. I read through the other thread, where a few of the guys went last year. It sounds like a fantastic experience, maybe one day.... who knows

Doc, Thank you for saving my sanity  I was convinced I picked up the GW name in here.

It should be the issue following the EVH issue. There's a Led Zep 40th Anniv issue on the stands here in NYC presently but I believe that's a commemorative. I haven't seen a date on it.
