I've been through this mag twice, I can't see any Fender U article??? It's got the David Gilmour article, as well as Back To The Future spread. Am I getting warm?

Snowy, it's on page 21 my friend. Gratz looks like he is into his jam! 8)

Page 21 in my magazine is an add for a nintendo game, we must get another edition in Europe :( Thanks anyway Hop.

That's too bad Snowy! I did not think the mag. changed with different countries, but I guess it has to do with ad money! Anyway it's in the section that has the headline on the top of the page that says "Riffs" if that helps? :?

I had another look under the Riffs section, no mention of Fender U or any pix. It's a bummer, nevermind. Thanks for your help Hop, much appreciated.

Namaste Gratz :)

I'm in to Reiki in a big way, I did my Master Degree some 5 years ago. I appreciate the energy buddy, say thx to your good lady from me. I might give the magazine a call, just to enquire as to why the Fender U article is missing. Thanks again Gratz, all the very best for 2009.

Have you found that your Reiki has helped in your healing process? Hope you feel much better in the days to come and my best wishes and prayers for your speedy recovery in the New Year.)im back she was thrilled to hear you practiced reiki and wanted to say hello

Namaste Janet,

I'm pleased to meet you, I've been in to Reiki for 12 years now. As for helping me physically, I could tell you some of my experiences have been nothing short of amazing. I don't do as much self healing as I should, we're all guilty of this tho lol. Most of my actual work is with animals, which is keeping me very busy. I also teach, but tend to keep these to small groups. I get much less hassle from the animals  I appreciate the absent you've been sending, if I can ever return the favour, you know where to find me :D

To completely divert away from gilmour strats.

Is reki based on the same principles of chi / qui, in chinese medicine and M.A?

That is a huge question Nik, one which could bring many answers. But in a word, I would say yes. Chi/Ki/Qi is translated in a few different ways, gas, breath, energy flow, it's also described as "an active principle forming part of any living being". It's interesting the word "principle" keeps coming up here, Reiki is based upon five simple principles.

1. Do not be angry.
2. Do not worry.
3. Be grateful.
4. Work with integrity.
5. Be kind to others.

I also apologise for going off topic here, sorry dudes and dudettes :D

Have any of you guys had your first set up yet? Not that I feel my Strat needs it, but I've been playing it since October (you would think my arms would be tired by now  ) I seem to remember someone telling me it should be done approx three months after purchase, just wondering if this is correct or not.

Depends if you feel it necessary.

But fot a guitar coming from California to the nice winter weather of Scotland, it might be needed.

Just look at the straightness of the neck and it will tell you all.
Mine is still straight as a rock.

Merci Alain,

She looks and sounds great, like I mentioned in my previous post, I don't feel she needs it. Just didn't want to ignore the issue, I'm the same with my car lol. Service done on due date, always  Thanks again for taking the time to post, I appreciate it.

Snowy, mine is still the same as it came from the Custom Shop. I'm kind of wary of having someone mess with the original setup but I know sooner or later it will have to be done! :) I'm just real protective of my baby! She has been played so little that I'm leaving her alone until necessary. Does that seem paranoid to you?!

You're not paranoid Hop, I feel the same way. I took my Tele Deluxe in for her first set up a while ago. I was worried the whole time she was gone, I was nearly begging the techie dude to look after her  Dunno how many times I told him, " There's not a mark on her." Like yours and Alain's both, my baby is as she was the day I opened the case.... Purrrrrfect 8) I did have a bad experience once with a set up, I had a guy do both my gibbys. Both of the hardshell cases were damaged, I was so angry I didn't pay the dude. He never did try and bill me, got my cases fixed at another place.
