It could just be something in your rig thats conflicting with the guitar. leads, power supplies, pedals, rack units, i wouldnt rule out anything.

Strange that there are so many with no noise but mine buzzes away.

The room I use is just for my guitars and amps.
Nothing else in there to interrupt.

Thanks for the advice guys, probably best if I get it checked out.
Its a bit distracting at times

Yes, we paid too much money for a CS guitar to have problems! Take it back and if you don't mind get back with us and let us know the outcome please! :) :?

Just a heads up that DG made the cover of Guitar Player mag this month, and he talks about the Strat in the article. There is also a pretty cool picture of Phil Taylor with a rack of them testing them out.....

Remember that the project was to replicate The Black Strat, which had come to be his favorite, in two reincarnations, at a price point that the artist felt would be amenable to his audience. Even the pickups in this guitar are not a duplicate of the original, but approved by the discriminating ear of the artist. 8)

Having had the DG-20 installed in a '97 American Standard, I would not argue your point, and if you are happy with the voice of your guitar, that is what really matters. It is through it that your soul speaks and that is certainly what we are all about.

Is it not?

Beat me to it!!

Also some great insight from Gilmour about his thoughts on the CS strats. Overall a very good read.

Correct. Only January is on sale here but the 'heads up' is in that edition.
