Snowy&Caleb, I'd love to send mine off to get David's signature too!! They might not want it to be a trend though! If David would agree to this I would definitely go for it!! 8) 8) It would show just how much he cares for his fans that purchased his guitar though!! Are you in here David?
Only for people that can prove they bought his guitar!![/quote]

Only one way to find out........ask

Got mine yesterday but had to wait because of UPS cold storage..
So i played all day long
Where to start ?
Mine is a Relic and after viewing the "Live at Gdansk" DVD the relicing is tip top. But for the sunburst undercoat which seems to have been sprayed sparcely, just for two main relic spots. savings, savings...
Otherwise the former Kahler vibrato filling is well done and the XLR output filling is tip top.
The neck might look a little bit on the orange side but the "original" looks the same.
It's a flat wide "C" very easy to play with its satin finish; the back of the neck not being bared as on some other Tribute Guitars.
Pick ups are VERY powerful ,specially the Seymour Duncan bridge Pick up.
The 5 position switch plus the mini toggle provide all you can expect from any combination of 3 pick ups. In betweens are crystal clear and the bridge pick up delivers ..
The small tremolo bar is quite convenient once used to it.

Well all in a great PLAYER .
Plus all the goodies . Another saving is that DG is using Evidence Lyric HG cables and we are given the small bros Melody; but it's already quite a great cable.

Photos on the way
Cheers
Alain

Yes ,of course but I was told before, which triggered me to finally buy one
It's definitely a winner; and the weight is quite reasonable contrary to what some detractors are saying.
So now how to get DG's sound without buying his mammoth Rack

Your observations are well appreciated. I've seen the Relic elsewhere, and after reading the book and reviewing that video I can agree that the guitar was tastefully recreated. I'll be picking up my NOS tomorrow, so more to come.

On the sound.. I attended a Pink Floyd Tribute Band concert past July. The player covering David did not have an 'awesome rig'. It appeared that he had the usual assortment of pedals on a board running through a Marshall head and possibly slaving a Fender Hotrod 'something.' His guitar was an SSH strat. The tone was definitely Gilmoursih. In fact, DO try that website for ideas.
Enjoy!
