I feel a complete fool right now  Having sat down to read the book, I found Phil's signature a few pages in. I only checked the inside sleeve, I have a few phone calls to make in the morning. I'm having humble pie for breakfast

I do feel bad Hop, my level of awareness is shocking sometimes. But I'm man enough to admit my mistake, I'll make those calls first thing in the morning. I'll do a pic now, and get it up asap.
Thanks dude.

Not to worry, ya'll...It's customary for the author to sign.. over his/her name...where it appears on the inside page right under the title.

Doc

A few days afte rthe last post but ................

i got back from bangkok yesterday opened the box strapped her up - she's def a she - and plugged in.

My hands hurt :D :D :D had a few days of no play to catch up on.

Just one question, am i being stupid cos I really struggle to find a difference using the micro switch.

Apart from that the tones are superb, I never imagined i couldnt such hard rocking sounds from a DG strat.

What are you saying? I don't understand. You can't tell the difference in tone when you have (lets say) the bridge and the neck pups in combination? There are all kinds of differences in combinations! Not to mention the 3 different pup sounds! :? Tone knob settings, amp and settings. Even without fx.

Yep no problem with 3 diff pup sounds, no problem with the 5 way switch.

But I wonder if I have problem with micro switch, I know when its flicked on I can combine neck and bridge but i dont hear any difference when 5 way in bridge position, in other words it don't seem to bring in the neck

That does sound like a problem as you should be able to have the bridge and neck at the same time using your mini-switch. Take it back now!! :?
Here is the Fender spec. page for your info

When on the bridge pup position gently ding on the neck pup's magnets with a small coin on both microswitch's positions. If you don't hear anything then something 's wrong with the switch.

Personally....for that kind of money.....with all of that hype....every one of those guitars should come out of there squeaky clean.
