I've just been going through the case candy, my book is not signed :( Cool book though, the pictures are stunning. Everything else is great, strings, DVD, cable, certificate, and I spy with my little eye.... a pick! Did anyone here get a signed book? Just cutious.

No, as I suspected but I was standing beside my dealer while he talked to Fender and exchanged email dates that Fender confirmed that I would get one . Fender assured my dealer and me that somehow they were going to make it happen!! We will see if Fender lives up to their word!!!??? :x I bet everyone in corporate headquarters that did not even buy one of the DG has a signed copy!!

Well Hop, all along my place assured me me I would get one. Even today when they called, I asked again. The dude said it was definately one of the first 500, but... he didn't open the case. He felt that was my place to do it, low and behold when I did, well you know the rest. I might call them, just to let them know. I had her plugged into the spider jam, tried out some of the PF tones 8) 8) 8) say no more. I'll try her in the Blues Junior now

Sounds nice huh?? Did you get the NOS? After looking at both I'm glad I picked the NOS ( not to say the relic isn't fine!!!) but something about everything all brand new and shinny!!
I will just sit and wait to see if they get the book straight! That is the only way to tell if you got one of the 500 or number1245? :x but all in all I'm satisfied! 8)
Now I've got to dial in some new tones on this new amp!!

I'm over the moon Hop, don't get me wrong I'm satisfied alright. Yeah I got the NOS, and I agree with you. There's something about a brand new guitar that I love, shinny and new  I tuned her up, set the Shine On tone, and did the thing. I then went to Comfotably Numb, wooo hooo, then Another Brick, I was and still am blown away. Have you experimented with the switches yet? If not, you're in for a big surprise lol, I'm sure you probably have tho. I'm in heaven right now, can't believe how good I feel. The number on my certificate would suggest it's not one of the fist 500, then again... what do I know

I dont know how the serial numbering works at the custom shop.

My relic is R43056 dated 23/09/08.

Do you think thay started making them at serial number 43000??

Just my opinion but I think the r and the first # does not matter . I think it's the next 3 numbers are the ones that tell you the order. I think the relics start with R4 and the Nos Start with R4 and the next 3 numbers tell you if your in the first 500. Only a theory of mine!
The more I think about what I just said the less sense it makes to me! :?
I just have no idea my friend! Who knows Fender should tell us.
