Well, my NOS came in yesterday. The book wasn't autographed, so I guess that makes mine NOT a 1st 500. Even though my shop told me if it wasn't a 1st 500, he'd give me a refund, I'm keeping this one. He ordered it the day Fender made the announcement-guess that wasn't early enough.

Many Dealers passed orders well before that , just making sure their reliable clients could get one of the "early" batch .
But the autograpgh is not from DG so , nothing detrimental to PT, but...

Awesome pics!!

The more I look at the Relic, the more i realize I actually would prefer the NOS.

Not that I don't like the Relic. The CS has done an excellent job of copying the original. It's just a little odd seeing a new guitar with all of this "wear" that is a copy of Gilmour's original wear and tear. Almost like I'm getting the guitar from where he left off with it then taking it from there. I kind of would like the guitar's "story" to be mine, not his.

And this is an odd turn form me as I was Relic 200% from the start.

I saw where another poster got his and his book was not signed.I think all the shops told their customers that they would get a signed book, so I'm kind of expecting the same thing. I guess I can survive without Phil's signature!! 8)
