If my memory's right they gave up issuing these kinds of editions starting to number them by a # 1 to avoid any preference for the earlier numbers specially the #1 to #10 ones.

Id really like to hear a side by side comparison of the NOS to the Relic.
My NOS twangs like a brand new guitar, (which is what it is) and out of the box it nails the "Another Brick in the Wall Pt II" outro solo sound. Other sounds take some time and stomp boxes to get close.

But this gets back to my original question: what are the sonic differences between the two (if any)? Did they degauss the pickups on the Relics? Vibration damp the bodies? Inquiring Minds want to know....

Anytime for a fellow Beatle, David Gilmour fan:wink:

I unfortunately am not getting one right now, but I am just as exited for you guys that are. I am waiting for the first post on youtube as well.

As the Beatles song says "It Won't be long"

I am saving my pennies and dimes, nickels, cashing in cans for one though

Post a clip on youtube :D with your new treasure!

This is just a guess but the body on the Relic is different due to the Black over 3-Color Sunburst VS the standard black on the NOS. But would it be that much of a difference? Other than that, I think they are identical.

Is the guitar living up to all of your expectations? Can you give a review?

hmmm...interesting question. I think it will be a toss up between Money, Time or the first few songs of The Wall album. Ya, I think it will have to be the first few songs of The Wall album
