I've been told today from the shop I ordered my DG strat from that they have confirmation that there are guitars being flown into the UK, in fact by now they should be here. They have only shipped NOS, no relics, theres a possibility of getting my grubbys on her friday or saturday.

Bloody hope so I fly out to bangkok on wednesday and i want her before that.

I have to ring on thursday for a further update.

Keep us posted bud, I haven't heard a peep from my place. On the plus side, I ordered a NOS, so here's hoping.

If you ordered one of the first 500 you will be ok, they told me they shipped the UK's entire order (from the 1st 500) in one hit

I have been told I'm first on the list in my place, I paid in full the day I ordered. They said they had 7 for the Glasgow shop. So yes, I believe I'm in the first 500.

Sorry what i meant was that the amount that the Uk ordered out of the first 500 was shipped, I dont know how many.

i know the guys i ordered from were getting 8, snowy mentioned his shop had ordered 7.

So if you had ordered one of the first 500 also it must be due to you pretty soon

All I know is what my place told me, they have seven NOS confirmed for delivery to the Glasgow store. My name is on one of them, I'm more chilled about when I actually get it. Good luck to you too Frank, I hope you get her soon too.

Well I think I'm not in a rush to get mine (Relic)
I prefer one not finished on Friday Afternoon (although that's rare in the CS  )
Let them take time to make them to their best endeavour.
I hope to get one of the first 500 but will survive if not.
Things might have been different should DG had signed the first 500.Nothing detrimental to Phil Taylor
There are first come first served for customers but for Dealers it might be more even timewise.

I agree with you Alain, as long as I get a CS quality guitar I'm in no big rush. I'll survive without Phil's sig. although it would be nice considering when I placed my order! 8)

There's the man!!. Why was I thinking that he was not getting in on this one? Was there something he wrote earlier in the year which gave me that impression. Didn't seem to me that his collection would be without.

I'm personally beginning to think that this "first 500" is becoming a bit of a choke. I expect to have delivery of my books in about two weeks.

The impatient energy around here is continuing to rise. Wish it would have some positive effect on the Dow.

Update number whatever - sorry but I've got a bit obsessed with this.
Guitars have been shipped to European Distribution Centre in Holland and are currently undergoing quality checks.
NOS only, they think relics are about month behind.
My store reckons thursday next week but more likely friday they will have.

Bummer, I'm off to bangkok on wednesday so wont get until 21st when i'm back.

i know going to bangkok aint a bad swap :D :D :D :D

Doc
As I said earlier I buy this one as a player's guitar.
I was not into buying one before, but after talking to somebody -in-the-making-of, it was clear that soundwise it was worth buying one.
I'm enclined to Relics but it's just a personnal taste and I reiterate it won't be a "collector's guitar". So although better AT the present time than the Dow, its liquidity will rather low should you need money in a rush.

Just got a voice mail from the guy at the dealer I am buying from. He tells me that he will have actual shipping numbers later today by which we can track the progress of the shipment to the store. He also said that the CS is making some kind of excuses about a technical glitch in the shipping department. So I give +8 for shipping numbers (but I need to see them first) and -5 for lame blame games.

I think it will be worth it, though, in the end.

*****Update Friday Morning Oct 3

They have shipped! 2nd day air, delivery is confirmed for Monday! Woo Hoo!
