Hi all!

I grabbed this guitar off a car booth sale for 50€, can anyone confirm that this is just a fender copy or something else?

What it *isn't*:

A Custom Shop guitar
A Fender guitar
A made-in-USA guitar

As to what it *is* is anybody's guess.

It may have well been worth fifty quid but it's certainly not an investment-grade heirloom.

Best case, it might be 100% Squier with fake decals and a Corona neck plate added.
That neck plate is from a bass. The "Corona" stamped guitar neck plates all have the 5th hole for the micro-tilt. Models without the 5th hole (other than custom shop) are either blank or have an "F" script.

The red flag is what you paid for it. If that was a Fender, that means:
1: It is stolen.
2: It is fake.

Given how the part are all mismatched, this is clearly a fake, and not even a good attempt at a fake.

I took a tour of it once.
It's in the outskirts of Fresno.
Pretty small, low volume stuff. Just a drill press and a few hand tools. Doesn't have air conditioning. It's a little cramped working around the '78 Mustang.
