It means if anyone on the planet is bound to have one, Alain will likely have acquired it first.

Alain is one of the charter members of the Forums, joining about a week before you did. He lives across the pond and is our 'collecteur extraordinaire' guru and information resource of same. You'll most often find him commenting on the Custom Shop Forum. He is one of the founders, contributors and administrators of http://www.guitarmotel.com.

He and his friends are serious collectors. Many with one-offs. He considers his guitars playable art and himself a conservator of a cultural musical treasure.

Once saw a partial photo of the room in which he keep his guitars standing in cases.

He's been a player for at least 50 years and yes......he did....in the world financial sector.

As he once expressed it to me, Alain's mission, and that of his friends I would assume, is the conservation and preservation for posterity, of what he refers to as playable art, and an art form of the 20th Century. It's quite an impressive concept and endeavor.

Hi Jeff,
there
http://www.guitarmotel.com
Btw ZZdoc, that's really too much for my humble contribution.
I was recently in touch with Greg (Fessler) who is a really fine and enjoyable chap and a great luthier

Perhaps ten years of all these conversations has clouded your memory. I book marked that statement directly from its source as being a worthy mission. Not a shabby task whatsoever.

I keep on looking for opportunities to improve our collection; but it seems that, business first, the hay days are behind.
We were just there at the right time.
Hope they will come again thanks to Chris
Cheers
Alain

Maybe you can arrange to preview the winter NAMM one-offs and buy out the lot.

I am in the analog age, and I have no idea on how to post pictures on the internet. I was at the 2019 Namm Show and there was not one custom shop guitar that grabbed my attention this time. I did order the American made Jimmy Page mirrored Telecaster, and I wanted a top loader Tele with a rosewood neck. That guitar grabbed my attention and there are plenty of photos on the internet of that production guitar. Sorry but I just don't do the photo thing. :D
