Hi Doc,

The one and only batch of 50 Crashocasters are not technically Clapton's Strats.
The buyers could not theorically choose which one they would get (except buying one of the very few available with some Dealers).
Afterward there was no way to order one outside of that batch (I tried...)
The one shown is part of a different series guitar/amp.

Hi does any one know what the back of eric claptons crash 3 look like or has anyone got a picture of it,as i have never seen the back and i would like to see the art work by john crash artist.

Hi there i have email John to no avail, he did offer to a crash for me,but it was way out of my price range, I would love to see he back just to satify my mind of the art work John has done all his other designs are just wow. So if Alain has a photo i would love to have a peep.

Both Crash I and II featured the trademark single-ply 8-hole white pickguard, matching plastic parts and aged pickup covers.

For Crash III, Fender used a 3-ply 11-hole multicoloured pickguard, black plastic parts and pickup covers.

Take a look at Ed Roman's site in the States.

They do a copy paint job of any of the 50 Crashocasters.

But remember it is a COPY PAINT JOB.
