Hi!

Can I put La Bella flat wound 0760M (52, 73, 95, 110) on my Jazz 64 bass or is this set to much for this bass?

If too much, how about La Bella flat wound 760FM (49, 69, 89, 109) - they said this set is recommended for the fretless basses, but why wouldn´t it fit to the basses that have frets?

Many thanks for your help.

Those are high tension flats. You may want to start out with some lighter tension La Bella flats like the FL set first.

A person under my own heart. I started with the Jamerson set on my '64. I went to the 760fl set cause, like its stated the M's are a higher tension and I just got chicken. I will say this that the Jamerson set brought out the warmest tone that myself and a lot of fellow musicians ever heard. I like the 760fl and get a good tone out of them too. By the way they have been on my bass for 6 months now. About the '64, it has a wonderful lightly flamed neck that when you turn it just a little it really comes out.

I've had a set of 760FLs on a P-bass for about three, maybe four months and they sound better each week. I've read about guys keeping their La Bellas on for years and loving them. If they ain't broke, don't replace them!
