I own 2 of these beauties! They are awesome guitars in every way.
They are HSS, so it is a typical setup of position 1 being the H, position 2 Split H and mid, position 3 is the middle, position 4 is the mid and neck in parallel (I believe) and the position 5 is the neck.

Nope, but calling a HSS strat with a DiMarzio bridge pup and Floyd Rose "1960" just seems wrong to me.

+1

It does seem to be a bit of a stretch.

Probably for the same reason that 3 single coils and a 6 screw bridge seems wrong to me...LoL

It may "seem" wrong but it "sounds" so right!

Really....it's all a name. They are incredible guitars that play even better and in reality that is the real reason for buying the guitar.

:D

Oh, it was no reflection on the guitar playing anything but great, so no, not the same reason at all.

Just that Fender's "1960" name seems rather misleading, given that Floyd Rose bridges didn't appear until the late 70s and HSS strats not until the mid 80s. Someone not familiar with guitar history who bought this (like, for a nice present) might not get what they thought.

I'm dropping in an Emerson kit on both of mine, so what I can do is take the pickguard off and take a pic for you. Not a big deal to wire, really.

Nope. All 250K pots. Any other specific questions, please ask.
