I ordered this past October a Custom Shop Team Built 1973 Stratocaster closet classic in Black to the specs I wanted from the Guitar Center Platinum Room in Nashville. I based this guitar off of one of my original Strats from 1973 that I still have, but ordered this guitar with a 4 bolt neck that will be more stable. I am wondering what the turn around is for my order to be processed and completed? I will be at Namm next month checking out the Fender booth to see if anything will spark my interest. :D

MY guitar arrived yesterday at Guitar Center and it is everything I was hoping it would be and more. The flame on the neck is gorgeous. I am missing 2 things out of the case candy that I am hoping Fender will make good on. There were no custom shop guitar picks, nor the John Cruz tool kit included. I am a big custom shop customer and this is the first time in all the guitars I have bought, that there were missing items out of the case. I did ask my sales guy about it, and I was told that nobody had opened the guitar case before my arrival.

I have no idea on how to post a photo, but the guitar looks like the Strat "The Edge" used in the early days of U2. I also realized that the key to the case wasn't included. This is very strange for Fender to not include these items.

I will try to post a photo, but I just got back from The Namm Show and I am worn out.

I am sorry about not having pictures. I have a flip cell phone and I have no internet or email on it, so I don't know how to process the photo of the guitar to this page.

Lame.

You can buy a pretty decent digital camera at Best Buy for like $125 or so.
