I think I scored pretty well for a first time amp and guitar. I am a novice at best and don't know a lick about playing lead but wanted to learn at take lessons. I bought a new Tele USA Pro Hs and a Super Champ x2, but swapped it out for a Blues Jr III. I made a good decision as I want to learn how to play using foot pedals and stomp boxes through a good tube amp and not break my windows or wake up the dead! So if you have an opinion on this amp post it any comers welcome!

not break my windows or wake up the dead

aw c'mon you're taking all the fun out of it..! LOL!

kidding aside

Good choice on the B. Jr. I've had a few of them. you'll eventually want an Overdrive pedal tho. when your ready for that, find a good one. the extra dough spent will go a long way with these.

That's one hell of a first time rig and something many would be a good number of years aspiring to.

Perhaps the only down side is perhaps a bit like buying a Porsche as a first car. Without driving dross you may not get to fully appreciate just how good the the Porsche is?

I've bought a great deal of cheap stuff over the years which I have subsequently replaced for (what some might consider) expensive stuff. OK, there is the, possibly valid, argument that I wasted my money buying the cheap stuff in the first place. But, when I subsequently bought the "expensive" version I knew exactly why I was paying the extra money for what, on the surface, would seem to be the same thing.

I'm not saying it is a shame you bought such good amp and guitar straight off but do take every opportunity to try other stuff just so that you can appreciate how good your rig is.

I have done that recently, I tried a Mustang, a Super Champ X2, a Vox V-15 tube, and a Marshall (non tube). So I have had a little sample of good, better, and best. IMHO the Mustang was a bit harsh, Vox seemed pretty good, but the cleans were not near as good as the B.Jr. everything else I tried paled in comparison to my choice. I am driving a 200 series Benz instead of a 500 series, not really I drive a Camry (1990), and an F150 (2013). So I know the vast difference between the B. Jr. and a Twin Reverb, I will never need all of what the T.R. has to offer, or what my Jr. has to offer until I get better at my craft, (hobby)!
Until then, I am having the time of my (electric) life with the setup I have. Thanks for the compliments and info!
