I have a 2008 Chinese made Frontman 212R. Just recently noticed that the master volume control is jumping volume between 1 -3 level and also crackling. I have been searching far and wide trying to get the right replacement snap in Pot to replace it. Also having the same prob on the Drive volume control but not as bad. Driving me made tying to get hold of a replacement part in UK where I live. I think the job itself is a straight forward re soldering job but I am nervous about finding the right replacement Pot and where I can find one in the UK. Have looked in most of the obvious places like eBay etc. I think the part number might be 0069532000 but again, not entirely sure. Now I know that I can probably get a fix done at an amp repair shop, it's likely to cost in excess of £50 in labour plus parts, because of the time spend dismantling, locating circuit board and then reassemble. I can do that myself though. So does anyone know where I can locate the correct pot in UK ? From what I have read, this is a common problem with these amps after a while.

The problem you are describing can be caused by a simple problem with the drive or volume control itself. Usually it starts after pulling off the knob.
You can find out if the control is bad by pulling on all the controls and seeing how much they move. The bad one will move outward more than the others.
The shaft of the control is swaged into a plastic disk inside the control. This is a weak point and allows the wiper of the control to lose contact.
The type of circuit used here uses negative feedback to control the volume and the loss of wiper contact causes the loss of the negative feedback signal to the op amp. So the volume goes to max.
If you pull on the knob slightly, the volume control works.
You can remove the control, remove its cover and push the disk back on the shaft. Secure it with superglue or epoxy and it will work like new.
A replacement can be found at musicpartsguru.com
This is a common issue with SS fender amps of this series. You need to be very careful with pulling the knobs off during servicing. I use two screwdrivers alternately to pry the knobs off slowly and carefully

Thanks for that info. I have sent an email to the musicpartsguru site to see if they ship to UK, but as yet no reply. Trying to get the actual replacement pots in UK is almost impossible. In the mean time, I am going to dismantle the circuit board from the amp and use a decent contact spray in the holes of the pots, and see if that has any effect. I might get lucky, but if not at least I know that I shall have to replace the offending pots, if I can get them. I also take your advice on removing the knobs themselves as they do not easily slide off. Fender d not seem to support many spares at all in the UK, especially for this amp, which is disappointing since there have been thousands sold here in the UK, even though I think my version of the Frontman 212R has probably now been discontinued. If cleaning is not successful, then I guess I will have to order from the USA to get replacements. No doubt a techy person could replace them with an alternative, but my degree of electronic know how is fairly limited and not something that I would normally attempt, where as a snap in replacement would be soldering in "like for like".
