No problem. We're looking forward to learning how it sounds.

The couple bucks spent were well worth it, the 63' GH tank was warmer and much more natural sounding, really only took a couple mins. to see this is what this unit should sound like, the cheap litttle Ruby 3 spring sounded so artificial compared to the GH. Thanks for all the help! Here's a pic. with it installed and the little Ruby tank out.Image

Gut the housing of that POS and use it as an ashtray.

Ha, yep, I guess the saying, "they don't make them like the used to" applies here!

Indeed.

As with vintage speakers and NOS tubes, so it is with reverb tanks as well.

The 6G15 Fender reverb unit tube chart shows a 7025 tube, I had a RCA 12ax7a in my unit and just replaced it with a RCA 7025 and it really improved the tone and raised the volume, should using a 7025 as specified make that much dfference in these units? or is a case of a stronger tube?

The 12AX7A is the functional equivalent to the 7025 (the "7025" designation has it origins with military nomenclature -- the 12AX7A is intended for civilian/commercial applications). Likely you're dealing with an issue of tube strength and nothing more.
