Hej, I was wondering something from those of you who have tried both.
Do they sound similar or the same or are they pretty different? I mean both amps runs the same tubes.
And also which one do you prefer?

I’ve only heard the Vaporizer on uTube. I though a 2-10” spk combo was interesting. I wonder if the speakers are any good.
Unfortunately Fender’s Pawn Shop amps only lasted a year. It comes off like a novelty item and someone was polite enough to say in the forum - Fender didn’t need more landfill amps.

I vote for the Blues Junior to be the better amp. It’s a current production amp. More controls onboard.
Limited edition options, and I own an older one.

There isn't much that one can compare between the two. Count the knobs.
The look of the Vaporiser is so extreme that you would only buy it for its looks. Not the best way to select an amp.

IMO it look a lower quality than your amp . I don't waste my money with that amp .
Invest in good quality effect if you have money to spend.

The Vaporizer has a solid state preamp, so it probably doesn't sound as good as the Bjr.
If you use a lot of pedals, you might consider using a pair of amps. The Blues JR wet and a Pro Jr dry. This setup gives you back the dynamic punch that the pedals compress.

Using two amps generally opens up the sound so much that going back to just one is very frustrating. You feel like you are playing through a transistor radio in comparison.

Even just the separation you can get through a stereo reverb makes it worth while.

At a Fender Roadshow night I attended back in February I saw Greg Koch extensively demo a range of fender amps on stage with a band and briefly plug into a Vapourizor and I thought it sounded VERY ordinary compared to every other amp he used that night, I assume Greg thought the same as he didn't stay plugged into that amp for very long at all, like 30 seconds for the whole night.

In his typical comical style he twiddled a few knobs, then unplugged with a commentary along the lines of "And thaaat's the Vapourizerrrr!"

Aside its unusual looks it's other noted features are a reverb that can be heard when the volume is off and a switch which immediately switches the amp to 11. I find it difficult to consider a situation when either of the above would be useful.

I would suggest trying it out if you have access to one of the major retailers. Personally, I've tried the blues jr and can definitely see a place for it. Whether its for rehearsals, a jam at a small club to being mic'd in a larger venue, the blues jr is a useful and capable amp.

Now since I've never tried the vaporizor, i can't offer any comparisons. Many others have chimed in and have made valid points. The only advice I can offer up is until you've tried it, how it looks or the lack of knobs has very little to do with whether it can serve a useful purpose. Heck, we all rely on looks as a first impression for cars, guitars, the opposite sex, etc. i guess what I'm saying is, get to know it before you ignore it! :D

Just sayin, it might fit your need....or it could turn out to be total cr@9, but how would you know?

I've played through both. I played through a Blues Jr with an extension cabinet and it's a whole other beast. As a combo, I find it a bit boxy sounding. I tried a Vaporizer when they first came out and it just plain sucked. It was soulless. I thought about getting a used one cheap, gutting it, and building a low wattage amp in it. Just because of its looks, but the cabinet is made pretty poorly too. Oh well. You'd be better off with the Jr.
