My twin is clean on the normal side; but on the vibrato side I get quite an annoying buzz. Where would I start to get rid of this?

First thing to do ;

Swap the inputs tubes V1 and V2 .
V1 is for the normal channel , V2 for vibrato channel

From the back of your amp . V1 is the first tube at your right , V2 second tube.....
If the noise follow the tube, replace V2 tube
_____________________________________
switch vibrato to off;
Check reverb cable ; unplug plug many time
switch reverb to off

Could be the reverb. Does the noise increase as you turn the reverb up irrespective of what the volume is set to? Does the noise disappear if you turn the reverb right down or switch it off with the footswitch?

I did try switching the tubes and it made no difference. The buzz does get louder with increasing the volume on the reverb.

I cleaned the RCA cable ends with some deoxit, and that did clear up about 50% of the buzz.

Any other thoughts?

Reverb cables 's ground could be defective. You can use any stereo cable . Check ground at reverb pan too .

You have to check carefully if it is a bad ground by a bad wires or RCA plugs or if connectors are not clean.

I forgot to mention in my earlier post that I have the same problem in my Deluxe Reverb bought about 6 months ago. I noticed the reverb was noisy when practicing at home. I didn't notice the noise when we were in the rehearsal studio which I assumed was because we were playing much louder (the level of the noise does not increase with volume, only with the reverb setting). I tried switching tubes and RCA lead and whilst it did make a slight improvement the noise remained.

Today in the studio I made a surprising discovery. There is no noise from the reverb when we play in the studio! I can only assume that the reverb circuit is picking up some interference at home.

Does your amp have the noise in all locations?
