I sure hope Fender is listening...

Bring back the iconic Tweed line such as the Champ (5F1) and Deluxe (5E3) back to production. Have them produced in China so us mortals can afford them!

But with so many clones out there why would you pay extra just to have a Fender badge.

+1000!

I'd rather have a Victoria......better components, better warranty, about half the price.

A no-brainer if there ever was one.

For sure!
I bought a 57 Tweed Deluxe Head clone for 1/3 the price.

Or, you can do what I did, build your own!

Then YOU are the Quality control.

This is a good tweed 5F1 kit,

https://tubedepot.com/products/tweed-5f ... be-amp-kit

They also have a 5E3

https://tubedepot.com/products/tweed-5e ... be-amp-kit

If you take your time and do a good job you will have an amp that will last at least 50 years, and since you built it you will be able to repair it, if it ever needs it.

The kits only prove the there is a market for the original. Fender is missing the boat for sure.

As a person with virtually no mechanical skills whatsoever and very little time to learn, I think the idea of building an amp is intimidating. I would gladly pay 499 for Fender to build the amp for me in China. Even if it only lasted 100 hours that is 4.99 an hour. That is still cheaper than going to the movies. That said, I have been playing a Squier strat since 1986. I have spent thousands of hours with it. I imagine if the folks at fender/squier can make a guitar overseas that lasts a long time, they could do the same with an amp.

More product suggestions-

The Frontman series is weak having only one amp, the 10G. Fender should continue the Pawn Shop series, (entry level), with new Fender designs, each amp having one new wild guitar effect, with more 2-10" spks, 2-12" spks.

If Leo invented the Stratocaster in the 50's, the vision for Fender should be futuristic. I think the Fender Vaporizer was on the right path. I didn't personally buy one, but I thought a combo with 2-10" spks was interesting, with the lazer on/off foot switch.

Fender does not need to build more amps for the landfill.

+1

Leo did invent the Stratocaster and his manufacturing philosophy was simple:

Build products that were timelessly practical, logistically supportable, and sonically superior to anything from his competitors.

Which is precisely why a 50 year-old Super Reverb is still around and commands more money than any contemporary Fender amp.

Here is a 5 watt amp based on the 5F1

http://flipside-music.com/panama-guitar ... combo-amp/

The guy who owns the shop, Ike, is a good guy. I bought one of his first Chapman Guitars and he treated me very well.

Here is a YouTube video where he reviews the amp.

Seemed to be a bit on the heavy side until I read the fine print, Omar. A Celestion V-30 driven by five watts of SE 6V6GTA power. That's one credible backstage or bedroom rig!

Search CLASSIC 5 (sorry on my mobile so can't post a link)

This is a Chinese merchant kit fabricated by artisan builders around the world and marketed under their name.

I have one with a Marmac badge but that is an aside.

A pretty reasonable hand wired Princeton 5F2 (?) replica and, subject to builder, a great price. I got mine used for £99 off ebay.

The only thing which makes this less than the perfect amp is it uses an unpleasant Chinese rectifier tube. The pin configuration is different to the original so I am considering rewiring the socket to get around this.

+1

Reconfiguring the P/S to use a 5Y3 or a 5U4GB shouldn't be too difficult.
